The benefits of early treatment

Why Choose Us

Dentofacial Orthopedics: Guiding Growth

Interceptive orthodontics is for children who are still growing. The goal is not to straighten baby teeth, but to intercept a problem with bone development (narrow jaw, receding chin) or a functional disorder (mouth breathing, incorrect tongue position). Acting early allows us to take advantage of the malleability of the child's bone to avoid lengthy, complex, or surgical treatments in adolescence.
  • Soft Removable Appliances: Use of small resin plates (often called "false palates", customizable with colors) to gently widen the palate and make room for future permanent teeth.
  • Functional Education: Flexible silicone devices (educational splints) that help the child to properly position their tongue at rest, to stop thumb sucking and to regain healthy nasal breathing.
  • Short and Targeted Treatments: Generally brief (6 to 12 months) and painless treatment phases that take advantage of the child's growth spurt to achieve rapid and lasting structural results.
