Common biomechanical maneuvers

Targeted interventions, often invisible (posterior sector):
  • Molar Uprighting: Straightening a molar that has become horizontal in a long-standing edentulous space. Rapid movement (3 to 6 months) often achieved with a mini-screw anchorage.
  • Forced Extrusion (Traction): In case of subgingival fracture, we extrude the root to give you a "ferrule effect" and avoid extraction.
  • Diastema distribution: Calculation and symmetrical distribution of spaces on the anterior sector before your composite layering or veneer placement.

1. Analysis of your Wax-up

We study your prosthetic project (digital or physical wax-up) to understand your spatial objectives.

2. The partial device

In most pre-prosthetic cases, the appliance is limited to a few teeth (e.g., a spring and two bands) for maximum comfort.

3. Radiographic examination

Before removal, we send you a retroalveolar scan or a Cone Beam confirming the parallelism of the roots.

4. The time delay

We place a rigid retainer wire or a temporary fixed tooth while awaiting your surgical or prosthetic procedure.
